Called in sick. Oh wait, I don't have a job. Snuggled in bed until 11.

Matt and I watched "King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters," an excellent documentary about competitive video gaming. It's a classic David v. Goliath story, of a diehard King Kong gamer who tries to unseat the World Champion. I saw it in the movie theater when it originally came out, and it was just as good the second time around.

"Who would have guessed that a documentary about gamers obsessed with scoring a world record at Donkey Kong would not only be roaringly funny but serve as a metaphor for the decline of Western civilization?"- Rolling Stone

New Music and Pizza

Of course, I can't take the credit for all this great music. One of Matt's jobs is to be my life coach. The other, is to find me good music. So, here are his contributions:

New Music: Jolie Holland. Awesome. If you like Cat Power, Feist, Fiona Apple, and other great female vocalists, you'll love this. Kinda folksy like Feist can be, with a good mix of violin.

New Music: Sia. Again, a female vocalist. Matt introduced me to it, and I have to say that I love it. She sounds a little like Tori Amos on a happy day, and believe it or not, a spoonful of Amiee Mann. I am in love!

All while making and eat delicious buffalo chicken pizza, from stratch!

My First Official Blog

I always thought that people who kept blogs were slightly narcissistic and delusional to think that anyone would want to read their daily thoughts. That is, until I made one of my own.

Hopefully, I'll be able to keep this blog up and running (what with an ungodly amount of my time being focused on "law school" and "finding a job").....

In the meantime, I'll amuse myself at least, and hopefully share the cool/interesting/infuriating things I come across.....oh? You wanted an example... I guess that will have to wait for next time.
